Francesc Muñoz

PhD in Geography and professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He has received awards such as the "Award for the best doctoral thesis in attention to human values ​​in engineering" (Cátedra Victoriano Muñoz Oms de la UPC, 2004) or the 2014 Bonaplata Award (Special Heritage Award) as co-curator of the exhibition La Fàbrica de la Llum. He has published books such as Urbanalización: Paisajes Comunes, Lugares Globales  (Gustau Gili, 2008). He has been curator of the commemorative exhibition of 30 Years of Democratic Town Halls Local, local! La ciutat que ve and has been a member of the Cerdà Year Advisory Council (2009-2010). He has been a jury in international awards such as the Rei Jaume I Awards (2010), the City to City Awards (2012) or the Llum BCN Poblenou Urban Electrical Installations Festival (2018). He directs the book collection Paraula i Paisatge (Àmbit Ed.) and the Urbanization Observatory of the UAB.
