Remedios Zafra
Head at the Institute of Philosophy of the Higher Council for Scientific Research. His lines of research are oriented towards the critical study of contemporary culture, identity politics in networks, feminism and the transformations of creative work in network culture. His essay work has achieved important recognitions, among them, the Anagrama Essay Award in 2017 for El Entusiasmo.Precariedad y Trabajo creativo en la era digital, a work that also won the Critical State Award that same year. In 2013 she won the El Público Prize for Literature and the Malaga Essay Prize for her book (h)adas. Mujeres que crean, programan, prosumen, teclean. Previously, her work has been recognized with other awards such as the Communication Award from the Association of Women Journalists of Catalonia in 2010, the Caja Madrid International Essay Award 2004, Research of the Leonor de Guzmán Chair in 2001 and the Carmen de Burgos National Essay Award in 2000. In 2014 she won the Meridiana Culture Award from the Andalusian Women's Institute for her professional career. In addition to those already mentioned, she is the author of the books Los que miran (2016), Ojos y capital (2015), Despacio (2012), Un cuarto propio conectado (2010), Lo mejor (no) es que te vayas (2007) and Netianas (2005). She has been editor of Ciberfeminismo. De VNS Matrix a Laboria Cuboniks (2019) and X0y1 ensayos sobre género y ciberespacio (2010). She has been accredited as a professor in Arts and Humanities since 2019. Since 2018 she is a member of the board of trustees of the Royal Academy of Spain in Rome (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation).
