Writer, author of The Last Pianos of Siberia. She has worked as an editor and correspondent at Condé Nast Traveler and The Economist 1843 and as a columnist for the Financial Times weekend magazine. He writes about travel, literature and the environment for FT Weekend, The Wall Street Journal and The Guardian and contributes to radio programs for BBC, The Economist, Times Radio and The Royal Geographical Society.
